MODEL OF THE MONTH June 2008 Issue 66
Kim Lee

DSPORT: So where are you from?
Kim: I've lived in Orange County, California all my life. Occasionally I make it up to the LA area to live it up.

DSPORT: How did you get involved in modeling? How did you get into the import scene?
Kim: I started by submitting photos to various magazines and agencies. I'm not really into the import scene. DSPORT Magazine is the only import publication that I've modeled for.

DSPORT: Are you a full-time model or do you have other work to occupy your time?
Kim: I've been working at my salon, along with magazine shoots and music videos when the opportunities arise.

DSPORT: So you own your own business?
Kim: Yes, well, my whole family is involved with beauty salons and it just made sense for me to build on that foundation myself. I'm looking to expand and open another one soon.

DSPORT: Speaking of family, do you have any siblings?
Kim: Yes, I have two older sisters and a younger brother.

DSPORT: So do you suffer from middle-child syndrome?
Kim: No, actually being the youngest of the girls, I'm a little spoiled.

DSPORT: Are you currently attending school too?
Kim: Well, I'm taking a break from school. I still intend to finish my music degree. But I'm also considering acting school.

DSPORT: We heard that you're an aggressive shopper, especially when it comes to purses. Is this true?
Kim: Yes, but I've been much better about my purse shopping. I don't buy that many purses anymore, but when I do, it's only Louis Vuitton. You should see my collection. It's extensive.

DSPORT: Have you traveled much?
Kim: I travel whenever I can.

DSPORT: So where is the coolest place you have traveled to?
Kim: Australia. It's a beautiful place and I love the Australian accent. They got a kick out of my American accent too while I was there.

DSPORT: Where would your dream vacation take place?
Kim: Dubai.

DSPORT: Why Dubai?
Kim: Well, I was surfing the web and found a few videos about Dubai on YouTube ®. It looked like a nice place to visit.

DSPORT: If you had only one word to describe yourself what would it be?
Kim: I'd say "sweet."

DSPORT: How would your friends and family describe you?
Kim: They would say that I am reliable.

DSPORT: A sweet and reliable girl. So what can a guy do to impress you?
Kim: He can show me something new and be confident.

DSPORT: When was the last time that someone impressed you?
Kim: Umm, I can't really think of an instance when I was impressed.

DSPORT: Do you believe in love at first site?
Kim: No, it doesn't happen that way for me.

DSPORT: What's more important for happiness, love or money?
Kim: Money is a great down payment on happiness! (laughing) But seriously, love is more important for happiness.

DSPORT: Do you have anything else you'd like to share?
Kim: Thank you Richard, Mike and DSPORT for inviting me to be on the cover. This feature is a great honor and I'm excited to see the issue. Best wishes and all my love.
