MODEL OF THE MONTH July 2008 Issue 67
Alicia Whitten

DSPORT: Tell us about yourself?
Alicia: I was born in Omaha, Nebraska and I lived there for less than a year. We moved because my Dad was in the Air Force. He was always being reassigned.

DSPORT: Do you have any brothers or sisters?
Alicia: I have one brother, three half brothers and two half sisters.

DSPORT: How would your friends and family describe you?
Alicia: They'd say I'm very compassionate, caring, giving, kind-hearted, silly, spontaneous and down to earth.

DSPORT: How did you get involved in modeling?
Alicia: Everyone always told me I should get involved so I decided to try it out.

DSPORT: Which models inspired you when you were just starting out?
Alicia: Ursula Mayes! I think she is an awesome role model.

DSPORT: What are your career goals?
Alicia: Well, I definitely would like to get a lot further then just the import scene with my modeling. I love the car scene but it would be nice to be recognized in other industries like fashion.

DSPORT: Are you going to school now? If so, what is your major?
Alicia: I will be going back to college. I want to become a Registered Nurse.

DSPORT: So back in high school were you a teacher's pet in school or the one cheating on tests?
Alicia: I was a trouble maker in school especially in chemistry; I loved setting things on fire. But for some reason the teachers loved me. (Laughing)

DSPORT: So you were a trouble maker huh. What was the worst thing you got caught doing?
Alicia: I set a whole bag of puffed Cheetos on fire on my table in Chemistry class. Those things are flammable.

DSPORT: So you are a pyromaniac. Stay away from those matches. So what was the worst thing you didn't get caught doing?
Alicia: One time I took cabbage juice and drew pictures on my teacher's white lab jacket while he was helping another student in front of me.

DSPORT: You mentioned on your MySpace page that you work on your own cars. Grease under the fingernails is hard to get out. What's your secret?
Alicia: Well if you have fake nails you just break them off before you start working on your car. (Laughs) As for your real nails, scrub them with your dads toothbrush…just kidding. (Laughing)

DSPORT: What was your first car?
Alicia: My first car was a '99 Chevy Cavalier. It was teal blue, it was hideous and it looked like an Easter egg.

DSPORT: If you could own five cars, which cars would they be?
Alicia: My top 5 cars would be the Mazda RX-7 FD, Nissan Skyline R34, Lamborghini Reventón, Bugatti Veyron, and the HKS time attack EVO. I love carbon fiber.

DSPORT: You sound like the perfect girlfriend. You love cars and you don't mind getting dirty. Do you believe in love at first site?
Alicia: Only if I do a double-take! Yeah, actually I do believe in love at first site.

DSPORT: What would you like people to know about you?
Alicia: I'm a real down to earth girl, really! Don't be afraid to approach me. People say I look intimidating but I'm really a nice person! Also, I'm not as girly as I look. I'm a total tom boy at heart.

DSPORT: What do your biggest fans do to show their adoration?
Alicia: Oh, man a lot of stuff...if there are contests or competitions they will vote for me and have everyone they know vote for me too. They send me letters, fan art and support me at the shows. All you guys are awesome to me. Thank you so much.

DSPORT: Besides going to the car shows and modeling what do you like to do on the weekends?
Alicia: I like to go to car meets, party at the clubs and just hang out with friends. I am down for anything that is fun.

DSPORT: Where do you see yourself in 5 or even 10 years from now?
Alicia: Hopefully I will still be modeling and in my off time I want to become a registered nurse. I hope to have a gorgeous home of my own with a couple of kids.

DSPORT: The final random question of the day: If a genie in a lamp granted you three wishes what would they be?
Alicia: For everyone to be healthy, to end to poverty and to lower the damn gas prices.

Amen to that. Thanks Alicia for letting our readers get to know you better. We wish you the best in your modeling and future nursing career.
