MODEL OF THE MONTH March 2009 Issue 75

First Date: Denise Lee

DSPORT: First off, tell us a little about yourself.
DENISE: I was born in Seoul, Korea. My family moved to the U.S. when I was four. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Now, I reside in Los Angeles. My friends and family think that I am a little crazy. But they also know that I'm pretty responsible. I think that I'm pretty adventurous.

DSPORT: If you had only one adjective to describe yourself what would it be and why?
DENISE: Adaptable. I adjust easily to different situations. Wait, that sounds kind of boring. You know I used to be more fun before I became an accountant. Now, I guess I am pretty boring.

DSPORT: Being adaptable is a good quality to have since life will throw a variety of situations at you. In terms of modeling, which models inspired you when you were just starting out?
DENISE: Alex Lynn introduced me to modeling. She recruited me to be a model at the D1 Grand Prix booth at the 2006 SEMA?show.

DSPORT: Besides modeling, what are your other hobbies?
DENISE: I'm a die-hard football fan. My favorite team is the New York Giants. Go Eli!

DSPORT: Do you play Fantasy Football?
DENISE: Yes I do, but I am already eliminated from it this season. It is so fun.

DSPORT: What kind of car a person is willing to drive usually says something about their personality. Tell us what was your first car and what do you hope is your last car?
DENISE: My first car was a white Honda Accord coupe. I am hoping my last car will be an Aston Martin with someone driving me. It would be outfitted with Hello Kitty, of course.

DSPORT: So you are looking for a James Bond-type guy that works at a Sanrio? That may be hard to find. Do you believe in love at first sight?
DENISE: Yes! It happens when you least expect it.

DSPORT: What is your biggest fear?
DENISE: Falling in love with the wrong person. I really don't want to end up on Jerry Springer.

DSPORT: If you had three wishes, what would they be?
DENISE: True love, money, and lots of children.

DSPORT: Lots of children? That someting you don't hear to often today. Do you have a favorite movie?
DENISE: It's got to be "50 First Dates." It was so touching for a man to love a woman that much to be with her regardless of the circumstances.

DSPORT: So you are a romantic at heart. What is the most embarrassing thing you have done while out on a date?
DENISE: I went out with this guy in high school and we decided to go to a movie theater. I was trying to look thin wearing my super skinny jeans when "poof" I sat down and my pants ripped. I think that had to be the worst, especially in my teenage years.

DSPORT: Nice! When it comes to communication, are you old school or new school? Do you furiously text message or prefer to just talk with people on the phone?
DENISE: I have plenty of girlfriends that look like chickens on crack typing away on their Blackberries. I'm old school in that I prefer speaking in person.

DSPORT: Do you have any tattoos?
DENISE: I don't have a tattoo on me yet but I definitely support people that do. I think guys with tattoos are sexy. I think the art they have on their bodies tells a lot about that person.

DSPORT: Tattoos always have a story behind them. Thank you for coming out and shooting with us.
DENISE: Thanks for rescuing me from my cubicle, even if it was just for a day. It's time to get back to crunching numbers. Thanks DSPORT and for anyone that sees me at a show in the future, be sure to stop by and say "hi."
