MODEL OF THE MONTH April 2010 Issue 88

First Date: Trisha Lynn

DSPORT: Hello Trisha, please tell us a little about yourself.
Trisha: Hello, my name is Trisha Lynn but you are more than welcome to just call me Trish. I was born in Sacramento, California but now live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I’m not afraid to try new things and keep my life spontaneous. I am still new to the import scene, but I’m sure you will be seeing more of me.

DSPORT: How do you like living in Minnesota?
Trisha: I have grown to absolutely love Minnesota. There’s so much to do if you know where to go. The weather took awhile to get accustomed to but I enjoy getting the chance to see all four seasons.

DSPORT: Did the Vikings break your heart in the playoffs or is football not really your cup of tea?
Trisha: My heart was and still is completely broken from the playoffs. I had to work the day of the game but I made sure I kept my Blackberry close to me for game updates. I love “The Favre” and nearly had a heart attack reading all of the intense updates and plays! In the end though, it was an amazing game.

DSPORT: Tell us about some of your interests.
Trisha: I am pretty laid back and mellow when I have time to myself. I enjoy scrapbooking as I tend to keep all of the movie stubs, holiday cards and letters I’ve received. I have met so many amazing and influential people, as well as lived in many places in my life. Over time, I started developing strong emotional attachments to these experiences and memories.

DSPORT: How did you get into modeling?
Trisha: I got into modeling because of my friends in high school. They used to always tell me I should give modeling a shot to see where it goes. After I graduated, I was introduced to some local photographers and from there on I have been building up my portfolio. I have been modeling for over a year now.

DSPORT: What has been one of the most memorable moments from modeling?
Trisha: One of the most memorable moments (aside from shooting with DSPORT of course) had to be the opportunity to shoot with one of my favorite photographers, Keith Selle. The experience was incredible and my photos were off the hook. If it wasn’t for Keith, I wouldn’t be where I am today. One of the most embarrassing was when I did a photo shoot with a girlfriend and we were pretty much covered in chocolate. It got everywhere! It seriously got into every crevice of my body and it took days to get rid of the smell. I felt so embarrassed going to classes smelling like old chocolate.

DSPORT: Be honest, do you have any real interest in the import scene?
Trisha: I am still fairly new to the scene, but I’ve really started to enjoy it. My first import gig was during my first year of college at HIN Minneapolis ‘08. I was also at HIN Chicago ‘09 last year. Both were great experiences and I had the opportunity to meet a lot of great people.

DSPORT: What is your favorite car?
Trisha: My favorite car is my very own car. I am very attached to my car since it’s my first and I want to keep him (I decided he’s a boy) forever. He is an E34 ’94 BMW 5 series. It’s very simple and classy to me.

DSPORT: So if we were to offer you a brand-new M3 or M5 on the condition you get rid of your old boy… you would pass?
Trisha: This answer is going to break Buster’s heart, but I would have to bid him bittersweet farewell and move on to the brand-new M5! I will always have an attachment to my first car, but life’s too short for just one Bimmer.

DSPORT: What else are you doing with your free time?
Trisha: Aside from modeling and go-go dancing, I am a full-time student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I’m currently going to school with an emphasis in medicine, with plans to get into pediatrics. I love children, especially babies. I am also a sales associate at American Apparel in the Mall of America. I love what I do and feel like I’ve never truly worked a day in my life. I have been able to squeeze in a little snowboarding this month which reminded me of how physical it can be but I’m still on my way to perfecting my skills.

DSPORT: If a guy were to notice you at a club, what’s the best way for him to break the ice?
Trisha: The best way to break the ice is to dance with me. When the top- 40 mix is bumping and I’m super pumped, show me your best moves. I love a guy who knows how to move his body.

DSPORT: What is your favorite food?
Trisha: I have a weak spot for sushi. I’m salivating as I say that. I also have a weak spot for anything my mom cooks. She makes awesome Thai chicken curry and egg rolls. She is hands down the best cook in the world and she tells me it’s because she cooks from her heart. My taste buds and stomach are extremely open to a wide genre of foods. I really don’t have just one favorite type of food. I love dining out, trying new foods from different countries. Whether it’s Indian, Greek, Ethiopian, Malaysian, the list goes on.

DSPORT: Let us guess… we can find pictures of most your meals online?
Trisha: Heck yeah! You can always count on Trisha Lynn for your daily dosage of food porn. I am constantly snacking and obsessing over foods so I like to share with everyone what my belly is enjoying. If you follow me on Twitter, you will see what I mean.

DSPORT: Have you any parting words for DSPORT readers?
Trisha: First and foremost I want to thank Mike, Rich, Jeren and all of the other DSPORT staff for giving me this opportunity. You guys are awesome. I definitely cannot forget my number one fans: my mom, dad and brothers Josh, Chance and Jude for their utmost love and support. I love you all so much. Big thanks to all of my friends, fans and supporters. You guys are the reason why I love what I do. Yuli, my heart, thanks for always having faith in me and guiding me through everything in the industry so far. And last but not least, I want to give a huge, special shout out to Tom Tang and Keith Selle from TunerPlayground & HmongHotties. They are the best in the business at discovering and managing models. None of this would have happened without them and for that I am truly blessed. I hope you all enjoyed my First Date and learned a little more about me.
